New Volunteers
Fabienne Hofacker is visiting us during two months and helps us in our everyday life; she looks after the youngest children, sews torn pants, has crafted an Advent calendar and filled it with presents.
Giovanna Ardüser visited us during her trip in Central America. Together they beat egg whites and cream during five hours in order to make chocolate-banana roulades for the children’s afternoon snack. It was worth the effort, as everything was gone within only five minutes.
Giovanna invited us to the waterpark, where the children enjoyed the swimming pools and the water slides. On that day, there was a karaoke-competition where Enrique received huge applause for his performances.

Graduation
In November, the school year finished and we were happy to receive the children’s report cards. They all passed the school year with good, very good and excellent grades. The children received 14 diplomas for solidarity, academic excellence and excellent behavior. This is the result of our daily work and great commitment on all sides.

Santa Rosa de Copán
As a graduation present, we invited the children to spend a week in Santa Rosa de Copán. As always, the children enjoyed going for daily walks, swimming in the pool, roasting marshmallows and watching films outside in the evening. Even though we spend our time in Santa Rosa living on a very small area, the children behave very well and they all enjoy this change of scenery.

Christmas market in Alvaneu Dorf
Natalia Schena-Bruseghini and Nicole Scarpatetti organized a booth on this year’s Christmas market which took place on November 24 and 25. They sold handmade jewelry from poor, unemployed Honduran women, place mats, home-made bread from Salouf, mulled wine, punch, and many more things. The proceeds were sent to the children in Honduras.

Birthday party for the youngest children
Four of our youngest children (Wendy, Alden, Elvin and Juan Carlos) have their birthday in November, so we organized a party for all of them on the last Sunday in November. The children played games, hit piñatas, ate cake and danced with a lot of pleasure and energy in the evening.
