Blossoming in the home

For a month, little Dominick lives with us. From the beginning, all children and employees have taken great care of him and closed him in her heart. As a result, he literally blossomed in his first month with us. He has become the center of our everyday life and makes everyone smile with his laughter. For us he is simply our cutest sweetheart.
We also had the privilege to celebrate his first birthday with him. We organized a real Honduran birthday party with cake and piñata. Dominick loved his party and was full of joy and giggles.

Unfortunately, the 16-month-old Arianna did not fare so well. She had to undergo another chemotherapy and suffered greatly. But she is a tenacious born fighter and her will to live is undeniable. Nevertheless, we hope that she has the strength to endure this ordeal until the end.

Engagement party

Our friends Laura and Giancarlo got engaged. They wanted to share this big event with our kids. Therefore, they invited us to the engagement party to their home and we were allowed to spend a nice afternoon with many surprises.

It is very nice to see how much our children touch the hearts of our visitors and thus create loving relationships

Special Christmas

Like every year, we started the Christmas preparations at the beginning of December and decorated the home accordingly. Our crib and the Christmas tree were the decorative highlight for the children.

The Christmas mood was unfortunately somewhat clouded by the political turmoil in the country. All visits were canceled because of the blocked roads. Only our friends from R.O.O.M. visited us despite the great danger. But they definitely brought a lot of joy to the children during this afternoon with various Christmas activities and gifts. This organization also sees all the work behind the scenes and has given each employee a gift as a thank you for their dedication and hard work.

Despite all the unrest, the children were nonetheless able to have a nice celebration on Christmas Eve. Every child received new clothes and shoes. Everyone dressed up nicely and put on their finest clothes to attend mass. After the service, they enjoyed a heavenly home cooked meal. The obligatory tamales were not missing as a starter; followed by roasted pork, fine ribs, vegetable rice and salad.

Afterwards, each child was allowed to unpack his Christmas present. The children were dancing until the desert was served, just before midnight. At the end, the Christmas story from the Bible was read in the open air with a beautiful light spectacle.

A sincere thank you goes to all the Swiss godparents, because they enabled the children their second day of Christmas, that’s when they were allowed to unwrap their godparents' presents. And the joy was immense and very pure......
